Guest Speaker Feb 1,2017

Jamie Floyd has become a “shiitake guru” and shares his knowledge and passion teaching anyone interested in the techniques and processes of growing mainly shiitake mushrooms on hardwood logs.  Once people find out how easy it is to do, the medicinal value and the great taste of the mushrooms, they are very eager to try this in their backyards or woodlots.

On February 1  he will not only provide you with the knowledge of how to grow your own shiitake mushrooms but he will also be taking orders for anyone who wants to purchase spawn to try it on their own.  For anyone that wants to try just one log (already inoculated and ready for this spring), he will also have these for sale.
